An introduction by Ruth Broyde Sharone to INTERFAITH: THE MUSICAL, the genesis and idea behind the project, the writing of the libretto, and the latest plans to reach the big stage. Ruth presents several videos that highlight songs from albums Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 , and one video in particular that includes a heartfelt interview with a gospel singer who recorded JESUS IS HERE FOR YOU for Vol. 2. Intertwined throughout the presentation are fascinating details of Ruth’s life of travel abroad, and her work as a journalist/filmmaker before she entered into the world of interfaith which– after 30 years– resulted in the creation of the musical and a chance to reach mainstream audiences to promote the celebration of our religious and cultural diversity. The presentation ends with the song, Meet Me There from the musical, inspired by a Rumi poem, that was performed publicly in Los Angeles.
