June Solstice Global Ceremony: Follow the Sun

An Indigenous-led synchronized global ceremony for peace, unity, and Mother Earth — launching Solstice Unites, World UNITY Week, and the Compassion Games: Survival of the Kindest.

On June 21, the June Solstice, we gather for a powerful global beginning: Solstice Unites, an Indigenous-led synchronized ceremony following the sun around the Earth.
Guided by Hereditary Chief Phil Lane Jr. and Indigenous leaders from around the world, communities will gather in prayer, song, story, ceremony, reflection, and shared intention. Beginning with the sunrise across Oceania and the Pacific, the light will be passed from region to region as people come together across cultures, movements, and time zones.

This global ceremony honors the wisdom of the ancestors, uplifts the sacredness of Mother Earth, and invites us to ignite the Eighth Fire — a new beginning rooted in peace, unity, compassion, and spiritual empowerment.
The ceremony also launches World UNITY Week and opens 99 days of Peace Through Unity through the Compassion Games: Survival of the Kindest, inviting people everywhere to take compassionate action for the good of all life.

This is more than an event. It is a ceremonial beginning — a call to awaken, remember who we are, and help forge a compassionate and regenerative future in harmony with each other and Mother Earth.
Through the Global Fire Ceremony Room inside One World, participants around the world are invited to receive the light, contribute their own gifts and wisdom, and pass the light onward.

The purpose is not rigid coordination.
The purpose is conscious connection.
Together, we follow the sun.
Together, we pass the light.
Together, we ignite the Eighth Fire.
Together, we begin again.
