Open Space Technology (OST) is a method for organizing a gathering, where participants are invited to focus on a specific, important task or purpose. OST is participant-driven and the actual agenda is mostly unknown until people begin arriving. The breakout discussions are created and facilitated by the people attending. The dialogue is documented and shared back out with the broader group at its closure. OST works because it is fueled by personal passion and responsibility. It empowers everyone to bring their gifts and honors the natural emergence of the system. Come with an open mind and be prepared to be surprised!
