Healing the Divide – Come & UnGUN Our Hearts

Come and hear three different perspectives on the recent increase of gun violence in United States. One Nation possessing 400 million firearms IS a barrier to World Peace. We believe that when we confront the source of the unaddressed trauma we can begin to heal and, with sound solutions, we can build a pathway of inner connectedness and peace for us all.

Dr. Marty K. Casey performance artist and activist has procreated and given meaning to a new word “Actrivist!” Leveraging the ARTS for HEALING, Dr. Casey, founded UnGUN Institute, focused on healing trauma through applied arts. Dr. Casey has found a way to connect and communicate through the Arts; in 2020 she performed on stage in the Big Apple for the AARP association, to a sold-out crowd, just days before the global pandemic forced a lock down. While the pandemic slowed us all down, Dr. Casey, still found ways to push her agenda for activism and community healing and as such her efforts gained recognition, by the St. Louis Business Journal, featuring her on the cover as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Businesswomen in St. Louis. Dr. Casey’s community and philanthropy efforts over the past ten years have yielded numerous awards and accolades; however, the greatest reward of them all is realizing the positive impact that her commitment to engaging, connecting, and communicating with the community has had. Dr. Casey actively serves on three boards; Hope Creates, Gateway to Dreams and Purpose Earth, all aligned with her mission to heal communities through the empowerment of recovery through expressive arts. In 2021 Marty K. Casey received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award signed by President, Joseph R. Biden. UnGun Institute

Patrick Carolan is a Catholic activist, organizer, writer, speaker and story teller. He served as the executive director of the Franciscan Action Network, co-founded the Global Catholic Climate Movement and the Faithful Democracy Coalition. He previously was a union organizer and served as president of a state public employee union. Patrick resides in Connecticut with his wife Stella. Together they raised four children, two biological and two adopted and took care of several additional foster children.

Anasuya Isaacs, Mystic Midwife, is a globetrotting teacher, spiritual counselor, writer and artivist who combines her many gifts into healing experiences that shift grief, trauma and shame into medicine for overcoming and thriving. A few of the Beloveds that Anasuya has served are homeless youth, women leaving domestic violence, rape survivors and refugees fleeing terror at home. As an advocate for women’s leadership, Anasuya created and has been facilitating her Let Love Lead workshops and programs that ignite the sacred alchemy between theater, poetry, song and art and healing from trauma. This platform creates safe space for a return to wholeness/holiness and understanding between cultures. Anasuya is a certified “Color Of Woman” Intentional Creativity teacher. She alchemizes the healing and restorative power of the arts with the healing teachings of the mystics, the sacred rites and symbols of the divine to transform and midwife your Re:Birth.
