Sitting Under the Baobab Tree: An Invitation

Every culture has its baobab.

It may not grow in the same soil or bear the same name, but somewhere in every tradition there is an ancient place of gathering – where stories are told, wisdom is passed between generations, and people are reminded of who they are.

For a little while, we invite you to sit with us beneath Africa’s baobab. Not to escape the present, but to understand it more deeply.

Through African story, philosophy, and myth, we will explore questions that have echoed across centuries: How do communities heal? How do we carry memory without becoming imprisoned by it? How do we honour our ancestors while choosing a different future for our children? What do Africa hold on behalf of the collective?

Come and remember that have been waiting patiently beneath the roots. For perhaps the deepest wisdom of the baobab is this: healing does not begin when we forget the past. It begins when we remember it collectively – with enough courage to write a new yet ancient story for the generations still to come.
