The Spirit of Ubuntu: From Africa to the World

Tuesday, June 23 @ 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM EDT

Join Pato Banton and Antoinette Rootsdawtah for an inspiring conversation on The Spirit of Ubuntu—the African philosophy that reminds us, “I am because we are.” Together, we’ll share stories from our journeys across Africa, lessons learned from working alongside community leaders, and how Ubuntu is helping to build bridges across cultures, generations, and faith traditions.

As part of World UNITY Week 2026, we’ll share updates on the growing Ubuntu movement, including projects supporting women’s empowerment, youth leadership, arts and culture, education, permaculture, and community well-being in several African nations and beyond. We’ll also explore how Ubuntu can inspire greater compassion, cooperation, and peace during the 99 Days of Peace Through Unity.

Come connect, ask questions, and discover how ordinary people are creating extraordinary change through the simple but powerful understanding that our humanity is interconnected.
